Actra is a local-first voice capture and execution assistant. It helps you turn short voice notes into structured actions, decisions, and risks after conversations or while thinking.
Data We Collect
Actra processes the following data:
- Voice recordings captured by you
- Transcribed text generated from your recordings
- Structured outputs including actions, risks, and decisions
- Basic app usage data for functionality purposes
How Your Data Is Used
- To transcribe voice recordings into text
- To generate structured outputs (actions, decisions, risks)
- To power daily and weekly review features
- To generate behavioral signals based on your captured data
Where Your Data Is Stored
All captures, actions, and structured data are stored locally on your device. Actra does not sync your data to the cloud. Your data does not leave your device except as described below.
Third-Party Processing
Voice recordings and transcripts are sent securely to Actra's backend service for processing. This backend uses OpenAI for speech-to-text transcription and structured output generation. These services are used solely to generate outputs and are subject to their own privacy policies.
Data Retention
Your data remains on your device unless you manually export or delete it. Audio recordings are not stored on your device or on Actra's servers. Only the transcribed text and structured outputs are retained locally on your device. You can discard individual captures at any time. You can export your full data as a backup at any time.
Data Sharing
Actra does not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.
Your Controls
You can:
- Review and edit any captured data
- Discard unwanted captures at any time
- Export your full data manually
- Delete the app and all local data at any time
Security
Sensitive API credentials are never stored on your device. All requests are routed through Actra's backend service. Communication between the app and backend is encrypted.
Children's Privacy
Actra is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as the product evolves. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
